Day Eleven : Sephora Glossy Gloss in Tangy Bite (16)

DAY ELEVEN :

This past summer, my brother and sister-in-law gave me a gift card to Sephora (because they're awesome!), and I decided to buy two Sephora glossy glosses. I get so overwhelmed in there when I have a gift card I never buy things I should, like the expensive stuff!! Oh well, I really like the lip gloss I got.

I really like this purple gloss, Tangy Bite. It is subtle enough that it's not a crazy purple on your lips, it almost looks pink until you give it another look. I knew it was perfect when my mom gave me a weird look when I was trying it on in the store :)

Here it is on the lip :

It has shimmer in it, which I think might be blue by looking in the first lip picture. The gloss even smells good, but goes away after a while so you're not so overwhelmed with it all day!

Day Ten : Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color in Stoplight Red (911D)

DAY TEN :

Yayy it's the weekend!! :) Today I have another red lipstick, again from Wet n Wild. I bought this around the same time I got Cherry Bomb, and I think it is just as great. It is a bright, bold red. I know I described Cherry Bomb as bold, also, but they are obviously different bolds.

Some people like wearing reds everyday, and I think this one would be perfect for that. I just like to wear this with natural eye makeup, or maybe just a little black eyeliner.

I think it would be good to used a lip liner with this, maybe even a brush. I didn't this time, but this stick is a little big to do a good job with! I ended up just using the edge of it to get the edges of my lips.

Mega Last Lip Colors give great coverage. One swipe around your lips is enough, which I think is fantastic.

Love & Beauty Sky Blue + Essie Luxe Effects Shine of the Times

I usually do my nails at the end of the week (like Sunday night), but I just couldn't wait anymore. I finally got Essie Shine of the Times, and I was so excited to use it.

The first time I ever saw flakies was on some random blog, and at first I thought it was an awesome crackle. It was on a cream blue nail polish (like I did today) and it didn't look shiny, it looked like solid color (the way the picture was taken I now know). I also thought it looked like those t-shirts people wore in like the '80s with neon colors on them..I sadly can't find a picture, but I just picture Zach Morris, the early years (does anyone know what I'm trying to say? Probably not.)

On to the polish..Here is the Love&Beauty in Sky Blue. I got this polish in a mini haul I did a couple weeks ago from Forever21. I showed the mint green color I got, now here is the lovely blue :

This is such a pretty blue, nice and creamy. I only needed two coats, but I did three just in case.

After that, I put Essie Shine of the Times on top, and loved it. Sadly, my camera sucks at taking pictures of it. I tried my best here :
 

Well..there were a lot of pictures, but I deleted them. I figured out I should turn the flash off (duh)..So these are a little better :

I think you should just trust me when I say it looks gorgeous on this blue. I've seen Shine of the Times on some colors that it doesn't look so great, but this one IS!

Day Nine : Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in Cactus Flower

DAY NINE :

Since the other post was supposed to be for yesterday (damn you Nick@Nite for stealing my attention!!) I thought I'd do another lip post today.

I first got this years ago (I have a lot of old lip stuff) and it also was my first Smashbox purchase! It was in a summer collection ( I think ). I lo0ove this color. I love coral (in fact, my bathroom is coral).

Here it is on the lip :

This looks pinky here, which it is, but it also has coral color (you can see on my hand) and a light gold shimmer. I think it is the perfect shade for me and my skin tone. It gives just enough color, and gives me a nice glow (which is why I love coral blush too). It's one of my favorite glosses, and I have lost it and found it so many times since I got it.

Day Eight : Boots No 7 High Shine Lip Gloss in Flirt

DAY EIGHT :

I really like this gloss. It is a pretty light bright pink, and it has a hint of blue/purple shimmer. I tried my best to capture it in the pictures. The name of the gloss has been rubbed off, but I got this at Target one day when I was walking down the Boots aisle, and I just grabbed it. I ended up really liking it!!

This is going to be short and sweet.

Day Seven : NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Tokyo

DAY SEVEN :

I posted a ton of giveaways today, and I just realized I almost forgot my lip post!! I just wanted to post this really quick.

I bought this at ULTA when NYX was BOGO 1/2 OFF (which it might still be), and I love matte lip, but this color isn't nice on my skin. I was a little sad..but I'm sure other color would be GREAT!! :) But here are the pictures:

As you can see it is a light pink, and it kinda settles into the lines on my lips (and I do have a lot!). It's a pretty color, just not for me.

Does anyone have any other colors from this line of NYX?

Day Six : MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy (Matte)

DAY SIX :

Just to show that I don't just have cheap makeup, I thought I'd wear something from MAC. A couple years ago, during the holidays, MAC placed a huge kiosk type thing in the middle of the mall. They were also in the Macy's, but I guess they were trying it out having two locations..It was great, except for one thing : the lighting wasn't the same as it would have been in the store.

That said, I got this lipstick when I was walking by this "kiosk" and I thought it was a nude, but it turned out to be more brown..

It definately throws me back to the late '90s, early '00s, when I only wore brown lip colors. I pulled this out the other day, after years of having it in a drawer because I was so sad it wasn't the color I thought it was, but it is growing on me. I even wore it Saturday when I went out with my brother and dad to lunch. So..here it is!

It kinda has an orange tint in it. But like I said, it is growing on me (it better be because my mom sure wouldn't wear it! :) )
