DAY TWENTY-SIX :
I rarely use this color, but it is pretty. I don't know if anyone has used any lip color from this line, but they have a weird finish. Once they're dry on your lips, they're dry. When I rub my lips together it feels like it's coming off (almost like it's flaky).
Here it is on the lip :
The reason the finish is weird, I'm sure, is because the lip color stays on longer. It does stay on a while! While this isn't a color I would normally wear, it is pretty. I think I might end up giving it to my mom though, she likes frosted lips more than I!!

China Glaze For Audrey + First Mate + OPI Stars in My Eyes ; and polishes I've gotten this week
China Glaze in First Mate, For Audrey, and OPI in Stars in My Eyes
China Glaze For Audrey was one of my first purchases from CG (I bought it during a B2G1 Free sale at ULTA). I absolutely love Audrey Hepburn, and Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my favorite movies EVER, so I thought I'd get this (It was really out of my hands :) ). This is my first time using it, and I love it. It is so creamy, smooth, and was good to go after one coat.
As much as I love it, I wanted to add a little something, and a couple weeks ago when I had on Sinful Colors Winterberry I did a similar design with OPI Shatter in Gold and loved it. Here's the version I did this week with First Mate and OPI Stars in My Eyes as the silver line :
Close up (sorry about the messiness) :
They're simple, but I think they're great! The girl at the MAC counter today even said she liked them.
On a side note, I bought only a few polishes this week, but I'm excited about all of them! :
Sally Hansen HD DVD, Wet n Wild MegaLast I Red a Good Book, Sinful Colors Glass Pink, Jordana Red of Hearts |
This is just a really great red..I bet it'll be a true red polish, and I don't really have one of those. They're usually more bright than not.
I've been wanting Nicole by OPI's Kim-pletely in Love , but haven't been able to find it, so when I saw this I was happy. It probably won't be just like it, but pretty darn close.
Lastly, my mom surprised me with this after she went grocery shopping (I love surprises like this, don't you?).
I am thinking about using all three of these for Valentine's Day this year, but I haven't really decided how yet. Can't wait!
Lastly, I got some extra cash this week from tips when I was bartending at the mixer at the Art Museum this weekend, so I thought I'd finally buy an expensive-to-me foundation. I have never used MAC face makeup (limiting myself to the less expensive stuff like eyeshadows and lip colors), but I have seen a lot of people say good things about this foundation.
I have never been so excited to wake up and put on makeup! Has anyone else used this MAC foundation? Or any other one from MAC? Let me know your opinion!
Day Twenty Five : L'Oreal Colour Juice Sheer Juicy Lip Gloss in Passion Fruit Squeeze
DAY TWENTY-FIVE :
I don't wear this nearly as much as I should! I bought it after L'Oreal changed the look of their Colour Juice gloss because there was one I LOVED before and this was the closest to it. After the change, they're a little different, but both colors are great (I sadly peeled the label off the first version so I don't even know the color of it!).
This is one big change they had made. Before it was round :
It's a nice brown/pink color.
This is one of those colors that, in my opinion, gets better the longer it is on the lips, color-wise. Here it is on the lip (but only shortly after putting it on) :
I know they changed their look a long time ago..was there a color you loved before they didn't have again? What do you think of this color?
L'Oreal Colour Juice Sheer Juicy Lip Gloss in Passion Fruit Squeeze : about $6.99

Day Twenty Four : ELF Essential Elements Custom Lips in Crimson
DAY TWENTY-FOUR :
I got this for free for subscribing to NYLON magazine about a year ago and I haven't really used it. There are only about two colors I like it in, the red and pink. Here is Crimson. It looks like a pink/red to me.
Here it is on the lip :
It's a nice simple color, but nothing special about it. It's more sheer than not, but I kinda like that about it. I also like the palette that I can change out the colors if I choose to, whether it is with an eyeshadow or face powder (blushes and stuff). The set also comes with a mini shadow sponge/lip brush. I don't know about other stores, but Target here only has the eyeshadows to fill this, no face or lip ones (they might not even have the palette itself!). But they have a nice selection online, and it is all just $1.00 each...four colors for $4.00 is a deal in my book!
ELF Essential Elements Custom Lips in Crimson : $1.00 each

Day Twenty Three : Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Gloss in Sand Glow (952)
DAY TWENTY-THREE :
Tonight I went to a mixer at the Art Museum, and while it was a bit casual, I like to do my makeup darker when going to events. It's the only time I actually wear my cool eye shadows! So tonight, I wore the new L'Oreal Infallible eye shadow in Perpetual Purple and a semi-nude lip. I mentioned it in my third day (here) that I had a lip gloss version of the lipstick I used, and I thought I'd wear it tonight. Here is my whole look :
This is me at the end of the night, I did not wear a blue sweatshirt! First I'll do the lip for today :
Okay, so I now realize it isn't really like the lipstick, it has more color than I remember. I have this in a similar color as well called Sandstone Shimmer, but this one was a Limited Edition Maybelline had out last summer. I like that it is nude, and it has gold in it. Love! I haven't tried any of the other colors in this line, and I don't know if I ever will because they are all shimmer/frosty looking. I didn't really want to buy this one, but I did anyway (which probably means I might love one of the other colors if I take a chance and buy it!).
Here is the eye shadow:
On the hand..I love this color. This eye shadow is so pigmented and shimmery. I was excited to use it :
I just did a simple eye with it, and keep in mind this was at the end of the night (but it is still really bright!) :
I used this eye shadow on the outer corner :
I really like that set of colors..well the brown and dark grey. I got them at the dollar store for..well..a dollar. They are also pigmented and so creamy smooth (and cruelty free!). They are a great buy.
Here's a list of what I used :
MAC Paints in Bare Canvas as a lid primer ($17.50)
L'Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Perpetual Purple (555) on the inside of lid (about $7.99)
L.A. Colors 3 Eye Shadow in Sand Dune on the outer lid ($1.00)
ELF Liquid Eyeliner in Black ($1.00, but I got it in the holiday set with Silver and Copper for $3.00)
Maybelline Great Last Lots of Lashes in Blackest Black (I LOVE this mascara!! about $4.24)
...and on the lip :
Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Gloss in Sand Glow (952) : about $6.49

Day Twenty Two : Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me
DAY TWENTY-TWO :
I was really excited when the Baby Lips line came out, and even happier that Maybelline's Facebook page had a $1 off coupon. I went to Target and got this for only $1.99. I don't like cherry flavored anything, but I thought it'd be fine because I really wanted a red tinted balm. It smells like cherry Chapstick to me! I think if I were to get it again, I'd get the light pink one.
I think the packaging is cute and very colorful!
The color is very subtle. I love tinted balms, chapsticks, etc. because you can wear them like a chapstick, but you get color from them.
Here it is on the lip :
The line boasts 8 hour moisture and 77% smoother and suppler lips...I haven't worn it enough to know if this is true, but just that picture makes my lips looks smooth!
Which Baby Lips do you have?
Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me (15) : retail $2.99; with coupon $1.99

Day Twenty One : L'Oreal Colour Riche Lip Gloss in Soft Mauve (520)
DAY TWENTY-ONE :
My friends and I have been wearing this color for years. What I always thought was great about this color was that despite our range of skin tones, it looked great on all of us. It's been well used as you can see from the rubbed off label.
I think these little glosses are great. I have it in Rich Red, Rich Pink, Soft Pink, Soft Mauve and the one they made for their HOPE line (which is actually my favorite of all, but it was only Limited Edition and I haven't seen it since).
It looks really pink on my hand, but when it goes on your lips, it is more sheer. Here it is on the lip :
It gives just a bit of color with shimmer (a bit of blue?).
What do you think? What colors do you have?
L'Oreal Colour Riche Lip Gloss in Soft Mauve (520) : about $8.99
